iPhone 14 Pro Can Compete with 8GB RAM Samsung Galaxy S22

Apple has not released the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max recently, but leaks of the successor have already been revealed. Let's take a peek at the leaked specifications of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

Information of innards that will be brought by the latest iPhone was revealed by analyst Ming Chi-Kuo. He said the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are no longer decorated with a notch at the top of the screen, Apple will apply a punch hole.

Referring to a report from South Korea, The Elec, the two phones have a size of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches respectively and use an LTPO OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The iPhone 13 Pro uses an LTPO screen made by Samsung. But on the iPhone 14 Pro, Apple uses a panel from LG.

Apple is said to be improving the camera capabilities of the iPhone 14 Pro series. The 48 MP camera will be embedded on the back, an increase from the 12 MP on the iPhone 13 Pro.

This phone will be introduced in September 2022. Before that, Apple is likely to introduce the iPhone SE which is predicted around March next year.

The device still has a similar appearance to the second generation. However, Apple added 5G support. Therefore, this phone is predicted to be the cheapest 5G iPhone later.

In about seven months, Apple will release the iPhone 14 series. Rumors about this flagship phone are getting louder, including the matter of the RAM capacity that will be carried.

Quoted from MacRumors, Friday (18/2/2022) the latest news says that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have up to 8GB of RAM. This news comes from the account 'yeux1122' in his post on the Naver blog.

This tipster has a long track record of leaking Apple products, but he cites sources from domestic supply chains. In its blog post, this account also claims that the memory components of the iPhone 14 Pro have been confirmed and the schedule for mass production has been accelerated.

Similar rumors also came from Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu. He claims the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be equipped with 8GB of RAM.

If these rumors are true, then the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be Apple's phones with the largest RAM ever. Currently, Apple phones with the largest memory are the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro which carry 6GB of RAM.

Non-Pro versions of iPhones will usually have less RAM, so the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will likely have less than 8GB of RAM.

While the iPhone 14 Pro will have 8GB of RAM, it still can't beat the memory offered by the iPad Pro, which introduced a 16GB RAM option in early 2021.

At least the iPhone 14 Pro will be able to match its main competitor, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. This newly released flagship phone offers a choice of 8GB and 12GB RAM.

When compared to Samsung, Apple is quite late in introducing large RAM in the iPhone. Samsung has been using 8GB of RAM since the launch of the Galaxy S10 in 2019.
