After releasing the Galaxy S22 series flagship phone line, Samsung is allegedly preparing to launch several new smartphones from the A-series family. It is said that there are several cellphones that Samsung has prepared, namely the Galaxy A23 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, Galaxy A33, and Galaxy A73. Of the four phones, recently leaked looks and specifications of the Galaxy A23 5G have been widely circulated on the internet.
This phone was originally a successor to the Galaxy A22 5G which was released in June 2021. Instead of being like its predecessor, the Galaxy A23, 5G is rumored to have a back design similar to the Galaxy A52 and A72 released in 2021. This was revealed from a series of renderings resulting from a collaboration between the famous gadget leaker OnLeaks.
From the rendered image, the front screen of the Galaxy A23 5G still seems to carry the Infinity-V design, with water drop-shaped bangs to accommodate the front camera. This screen design is still the same as the previous Galaxy A22 5G.
Significant differences can be seen on the back of the phone. The reason is, the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G module is now remodeled into a rectangular shape. Previously, the Galaxy A22 5G had a square-shaped camera module with rounded sides.
The rear camera module of the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G looks to accommodate four rear cameras complete with one LED flash that is arranged vertically. The module design and rear camera placement on the Galaxy A23 5G phone make this phone look exactly like the Galaxy A52 and A72 from the back.
Leaked specifications of the Galaxy A23 5G
For specifications, according to leaks circulating, the Galaxy A23 5G is allegedly carrying a 6.6-inch screen with high refresh rate support. Other rumors say, there is a possibility that this phone will have a 6.4 or 6.55-inch screen.
The successor to the Galaxy A22 5G has an integrated fingerprint with the power button (side-mounted), 3.5mm audio jack, USB type C port, 5,000 mAh battery, and does not miss 5G connectivity support. In addition to the 5G version, the Samsung Galaxy A23 will also be available in a 4G version. The 4G version of the Galaxy A23 phone, which is believed to have the model number SM-A235F, has appeared on the GeekBench benchmark site.
The listing document on GeekBench also reveals several specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A23, including this phone running the Android 12 operating system (OS) and is powered by a chipset from Qualcomm and has 4GB of RAM. Another leak says that the 4G version of the Galaxy A23 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 MT6833 chipset.
