These 5 Technologies are Legacy of MotoGP

The highest caste of motorcycles is in MotoGP. Because the motorbikes that go down on the MotoGP track are motorbikes with future technology. Not surprisingly, the price of the motor is very expensive.

However, it turns out that there are some MotoGP technologies that have been passed down to factory motorcycles. Well, here are some of these technologies.

1. Brake cooling duct

Reporting from various sources, the brake cooling duct technology was first used on Ducati products. This technology is useful for flowing air from the front so that the brake calipers are not too hot. Another benefit of the brake cooling duct is that it maintains a normal engine temperature because the engine always gets fresh air.

One of the Yamaha products that use it is the Yamaha YZF-R25. Motor with a speed of 250 cc uses an air rum duct whose position is in the middle of the headlights. Its function is the same, namely to catch the wind.

2. Swing Arm

Swing arm is a frame that is attached to the rear wheel and the main frame of the motorcycle. The swing arm is important to maintain the stability of the motor so that it does not shake on an uneven track. This technology makes the rear wheel suspension not too heavy. In other words, the swing arm makes the motor balance more awake.

Yamaha New Vixion is a product that uses a swing arm. Another function of this device is to keep the chain taut when the clutch lever is depressed.

3. Traction Control System

The traction control system is used by many MotoGP bikes to prevent shock or slippage when cornering. This technology is designed to reduce the risk of rear tire slipping while maximizing its acceleration. As a result, even slippery road conditions will not make the motorbike that we ride fall down.

Yamaha XMax, Honda PCX 160 and Yamaha NMax are products that use a traction control system.

4. Blue Core

Blue core technology became more and more famous when it was used by Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo on the YZR-M1 motorcycle. Blue core is considered capable of optimizing the power of the motor being ridden while remaining fuel efficient. No less left behind is environmentally friendly.

The latest products that use blue core are Mio M3 125, NMax, and All New Soul GT.

5. Brake Lever Protector

The Grand Prix Commission in Valencia in 2011 was the first time all motorcycles used a brake lever protector. The decision is inseparable from the incident at the 2006 Catalunya GP that befell Pedrosa, Melandri, and Capirossi. This enhancement is useful to increase the safety of the rider from being bumped.

For this device, not all the latest products make the brake lever protector as a default device. But this device is sold separately at an affordable price.
